You closed a deal!…How to follow up

The easiest place to get more business is from a happy customer.  So…following up with a customer after closing a deal will help you stay informed about how things are going.  It will also generate opportunities to further separate yourself from competition and may identify new opportunities.  Some ideas…

 

Communicate PROACTIVELY

Think ahead for your customer about questions and/or challenges they may have in the early stages of using your solution.  Do not wait for them to contact you.

 

Implementation Plan?

Do you have an Implementation Plan for your solution?  Helping the customer thru the process will dramatically increase their satisfaction and confidence in your company.

Check in!

Be sure to regularly check in with your customer to see how things are going.  If possible, schedule these discussions ahead of time.

 

Add value

Provide ideas, information for your customer…think creatively and maybe share stories about how other customers have approached implementing your solution.
